Project Prospectus - MECCA - Malay Education & Cultural Centre of Australia

Mecca is planning to setup a community Hub Islamic Centre comprising of a Masjid (Mosque) and an office of the organization to oversee the implementation of the plans and policies.

The Islamic Centre project is progressing well with the strong support and funding from the supporters through fund raised both locally and overseas. These efforts have been motivated by the continual support from the community and positive generous contributions from the public.

Just as in any organization and projects, the steering committee needs the strongest and upmost support in carrying out their roles and responsibilities from the public.

The effort to establish a purpose-built Islamic Centre is geared towards promoting positive Malay identity and participation in the wider Australian society. In doing so it indirectly affirms the endurance of the Malay community and provides a springboard of meritorious activities in which all are invited to partake.
